Tonight Show and Bill Maher Spew Anti-Gun Nonsense
Bill Maher is one of those people who is a comedian by trade, yet just isn’t funny. He of course talks about paranoid right wingers, and when he says it he comes off as just a truly paranoid individual. But he took his vile and hate to the airwaves with Jay Leno this week to recap the shooting in Tucson.
Here is what Maher had to say about the Second Amendment:
“I’m so tired of hearing about the Second Amendment and the Constitution. If you love guns just admit it like it’s a vice. It’s like alcohol or drugs or sex addiction [Scattered applause] or gambling. It’s just a vice. It’s something you like. It’s not good for you or anybody else. You just like it. But stop the bulls–t about the second amendment in the Constitution, because nobody needs — nobody needs a gun that fires 31 rounds.” Read more
The Hill Calls Obama “Gun-Friendly” – Is This Really the Case?
Should Democrats be upset that Obama hasn’t stood up to National Rifle Association? That’s the tone of a piece for The Hill by Bob Cusack, who quotes Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) as saying “I can’t even get a hearing (on gun control issues).” This has been a long and continued cry from the left-leaning media, which has repeatedly noted that the Democrats fear bring up the issue of guns. Party Lines Not Drawn Over Kagan
The mainstream media tends to believe that guns are issue that is a key divide between Republicans and Democrats, but clearly this isn’t the case. The Omaha World-Herald is reporting that Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson has become the first Democrat to announce that he would vote against Elena Kagan’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. Read more
Attention New Jersey Criminals:
It is now illegal to purchase your handguns in bulk from lawful firearms dealers.

That’s the message Governor Jon Corzine is sending to the bad guys in “The Garden State,” He just signed a bill that bans “bulk” handgun sales. Here’s a news flash for you Governor; the criminals could care less. They don’t buy handguns from legitimate dealers consequently the laws is useless.
Well it’s not totally useless. It certainly hurts one element of New Jersey society, that being every law-abiding citizen who may wish to purchase more than ONE handgun in a 30-day period. Jon Corzine believes that any number higher that ONE is “bulk” and it is now illegal in New Jersey to buy more than one handgun during a months time.
New Slogan for Anti-Firearm Crowd: “Iron Pipeline”
The mainstream media might soon have a new phrase to use when it takes aim at guns. This is the so-called “iron pipeline,” which was discussed in a story from WWLP.com. The article points out that states with “weak” gun laws fuel the illegal gun trade. What is interesting is the spin that this article puts on the issue:
“It appears Massachusetts very strict gun laws have been successful in making it difficult but not impossible for criminals to get their hands on handguns.
“According to the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives , states with strong gun laws fuel the so-called ‘iron Pipeline.’”
Majority of Americans Want Guns, Why ISN’T MSM Reporting This Fact?
According to findings from a new Zogby/O’Leary poll Americans want their guns more than they want their MTV (sorry for the 80′s pop culture reference). But according to Zogby:
“An overwhelming majority of Americans (83 percent) support concealed-carry laws, while only 11 percent oppose them. A majority of Independent voters (86 percent), Democrats (80 percent), young voters age 18-29 (83 percent), Hispanic voters (80 percent), and those who voted for President Obama (80 percent) support the right to carry a firearm.”
Somehow I don’t think these findings will make the nightly news. I wonder why?
