Who Guards the Guards: State Marshal Sells Guns From Convicted Officer

Consider this a double whammy. The Hartford Courant is reporting that a law enforcement official was arrested for selling guns that belonged to a former police detective who is now serving time. The paper reports:
“A state marshal and his son were arrested Monday on charges of failing to notify state police before repeatedly moving more than 100 firearms taken from the home of a former police detective who was sent to prison.”
That could now mean that 100 firearms are “on the streets.” Guess Connecticut needs to do some gun buybacks, because we all know the criminals will be quick to return the weapons.
