Who Guards the Guards: Oklahoma City Police Officer’s Gun Stolen

Imagine coming outside and finding that your personal pickup truck was stolen? That wouldn’t be the start of a good day, but it far worse for Lt. Mike Jackson of the Oklahoma City Police Department. It seems Officer Jackson left his gun in the car.

KFOR reported:

“His personal gun, some bomb squad helmets, more than $2,000 in specialized bomb squad tools, and the keys to his city vehicle were all stolen. “

While the type of handgun was not reported, this is still disturbing that the officer would leave it in the truck over night.
