Who Guards the Guards: Cop Fires Gun Inside Car

We really don’t like reporting on these stories, but it is necessary. Too many in the liberal media, as well as anti-gun zealots argue that only highly trained individuals such as law enforcement should carry guns in this country. But incidents such as one being reported by The Houston Chronicle make it wonder if you can trust the police with guns at all. The paper reports:
“A Dallas police officer who fired a gun in a squad car during a drunken off-duty incident faces a misdemeanor discharging a weapon charge. Officer Kelly Beemer has been placed on administrative leave. A criminal investigation is underway.”
The story gets worse actually. It seems that Ms. Beemer was not only drinking but was reported as “staggering and incoherent.” She later pulled a revolver from an ankle holster and fired the gun into the floorboard. Doesn’t that make you feel safer already?
It sounds bad, but fortunately there is actually video this time:
