Who Guards the Guards: Cook County Sheriff’s Office Looking into Stolen Police Guns

A story this week from Chicago is notable for two reasons. First, because police in the Chicago suburb of Harvey reported that nearly two-dozen guns were stolen from their firing range, but second, because the Cook County Sheriff’s Office investigation was called off. The latter because the Sheriff’s Office claimed the Harvey PD was interfering.
We’d like to ask how – and even why – the guns were stored at the shooting range?
