WaPo Editorial Calls Mayor Group Bipartisan

We know The Washington Post hates guns, so an anti-gun editorial is no surprise. But the paper goes to new lengths of absurdity with statements such as this one:
“But the 500-strong, bipartisan coalition Mayors Against Illegal Guns has outlined 40 steps that the Obama administration could take on its own to get illegal guns off the streets.”
Can the Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a group that would seek to give control over mayors such as New York’s Michael Bloomberg authority over other states, really be considered bipartisan? That’s akin to suggesting that MoveOn.org is non-partisan! The editorial also questions the practice of police departments reselling confiscated guns – and argues “guns should be destroyed after they are no longer needed as evidence.” This clearly shows that the WaPo editors would like to see all gun sales banned, as they have no other reason to offer why communities and police departments shouldn’t have the option to sell these potentially valuable items.
