Police to Sell Confiscated Guns

The AP is reporting via WHNT19 that Shelby County Sheriff’s officials could begin to sell confiscated guns rather than destroy the items. No doubt there will be an outcry, and some in the mainstream media will not how this will “put guns back on the streets” – a claim we don’t buy at all. We find this to be good news that potentially valuable and historically significant collectibles won’t be so casually destroyed. Plus the police can make a few bucks in the process, which can go to the community fund instead of raising taxes.
