NBC Chicago Says Brady Endorsement of Pat Quinn “Matters”

In an editorial for the Ward Room for NBC Chicago, Edward McClelland not only explains why it “matters” that the Brady Center has endorsed Illinois Governor Pat Quinn but sums it up in a way that makes it clear that Pat Quinn is probably bad for Illinois.

McClelland writes:

“His opponent, Bill Brady, is opposed to additional gun laws in Illinois, and believes in issuing permits for concealed weapons.”

Isn’t it clear that criminals in Illinois aren’t applying for permits? Isn’t it clear that gun violence has been on the rise despite the gun laws? Maybe it is time for the law-abiding citizens to be able to defend themselves. It is easy for Governor Pat Quinn to oppose gun ownership, and to propose new gun laws – he has bodyguards.
