Investor’s Business Daily Also Sets Record Straight

Maybe the mainstream media is starting to get the message that you can’t just speak to congress and make up facts to suit your argument. This week Investor’s Business Daily fired back in an editorial that debunked much of what Mexican President Felipe Calderon told the United States Congress. Kudos to IBD for choice statements like this one:

“There stood Mexican President Felipe Calderon before Congress, blaming America for the violence on his side of the border and, among other things, the guns that fuel the Mexican drug war that has claimed more than 23,000 Mexican lives since he took office in 2006. Rather than taking responsibility himself, he shoved the blame on America.”

The editorial also added:

“Calderon, who did not explain why the Mexican homicide rate was lower in 2007 and 2008 than in 2004, also did not mention the machine guns that originate from places like China, Israel and South Africa, or the 2,239 grenades seized in 2007-09 from places like South Korea and Spain.”

Now if only the rest of the MSM would pick up on those numbers!
