Firing Back: Brady Campaign Should Stick to Decaf

Several news organizations, including CBSnews.com are reporting that the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence is petitioning retailers not to allow holstered guns to be carried in Starbucks coffee shops. First, we think that the Brady Campaign is taking a heavy-handed approach in Washington State, which allows for residents to openly carry guns. So it isn’t as if any group is just trying to get the open carry when going for the morning coffee!

In fact, the Brady Campaign seems upset by the Washington law, and is looking for ways of making it difficult for people to carry weapons! But what is the alternative, leaving the guns in car, where said items would be out of potential view and increase the chances of these being stolen. And of course the Brady Campaign knows this part, so in turn would next say, “guns shouldn’t be left in cars,” and hence change Washington law from carry to keep at home. And then the next step is just keeping the guns from anyone but the police.
