Editorial Says Gun Sellers Should Keep Guns From Criminals

Does the liberal mainstream media really believe that gun sellers want to sell guns to criminals? This is one of the most common misunderstandings when it comes to private sales. In an editorial for the Post Crescent, the editors suggest that background checks should be conducted to those selling, as well as those buying – suggesting that this would essentially limit the chances of criminals obtaining guns.

The problem with this logic is that the number of purchases made this way are extremely small, and the argument seems to take aim at all private buyers and sellers. Thus the argument isn’t so much to keep guns from criminals, as to make sales all the harder for law-abiding citizens. But something makes us suspect that is the real reason for these pushes of new laws. So is it really about criminals, or just keeping guns out of everyone’s hands?
