Chicago Sun-Times Targets Daley’s Anti-Gun Stance

Over the past year we’ve noted that there is an on-going bias against guns in the mainstream media, but perhaps that is changing. In part more pro-gun voices are standing up to clear up any misinformation, but another factor is that the anti-gun crowd just makes such nonsensical statements that the media can’t help but fire back. The latest case in point is an editorial that ran in The Chicago Sun-Times, which was written by Alan Gottlieb, executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation, and Dave Workman, senior editor of Gun Week. Their piece draws from the hip:

“Mayor Daley doesn’t get it about firearms and personal safety.”

Following a recent incident where an 80-year old man used a handgun to defend his home, and more importantly his wife, from an armed intruder, the usual anti-gun rhetoric in the MSM has quieted down. It will be interesting to see if this changes in the months to come.
