Boy Robs Convenience Store with Toy Gun

A 12-year old boy has been arrested for allegedly robbing a convenience store in northern Florida. According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office the un-named boy pointed a wood barreled long gun at the clerk and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect said thank you and left. He was later seen by deputies walking on a highway with the fake firearm and money.
This is one example of how draconian gun laws can’t stop crime. It doesn’t take much skill to modify a long gun stock and make it look like a real weapon. Or in the alternative, to modify a toy gun to make it look real. Criminals will always find ways around well intentioned regulations.
