Allentown Morning Call Doesn’t Call Out Biased Editorial

In an editorial for The Morning Call of Allentown, Paul Goldsmith and Joe Grace of CeaseFire PA wrote yet another twisted tale of what they think the NRA and gun owners actually stand for, and from the opening sentence they push their agenda with little regard for the facts.

The pair writes:

“Opponents of common-sense laws to prevent gun violence most notably the National Rifle Association claim the Supreme Court’s recent ruling in McDonald v. City of Chicago gives them the right to carry guns anywhere, anyplace, all the time. But that isn’t what the Supreme Court actually said in its decision.”

We’ve asked this question previously, but has the NRA really called for the right to carry guns anywhere, anyplace, or all the time? Nor does anyone believe this is what McDonald v. City of Chicago is actually about. The problem is that Goldsmith and Grace don’t actually even mention the case, or why Otis McDonald took his case all the way to the Supreme Court. But why should we expect anti-gun zealots to bother with the little details, even if they are the facts and the truth?
