Guns are under fire. As a member of the “media,” a four letter word if there ever was one – yes there are five letters but to many it is a four letter word – I’ve witnessed the liberal media bias against guns.

Turn on the evening news and you’ll hear how American firearms are fueling the drug wars in Mexico. Open a newspaper and you’ll hear about a local shooting where an innocent person was killed.

But what about the stories about how an intruder was stopped because a homeowner legally owned a gun for home defense? Those stories don’t get reported much.

The talking heads in the media, such as Bill Maher on HBO say, “the President doesn’t want to take your guns.” But then we hear that the government needs to reinstate the assault weapons ban. In the real world that’s hypocrisy. In the media that’s just par for the course.
