“Top Political Reporter” Dick Polman Speaks Out About Guns

Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Dick Polman took time over this Memorial Day Weekend to write an editorial, which appeared in the Cleveland Plains Dealer, and he took aim at the Democrats for backing down on guns, going so far as to say:

“But the Democrats are too cowed to even broaden the policy dialogue. It’s unfortunate that, at their moment of maximum political strength, they prefer to fire blanks.”

Part of what makes America the greatest nation on Earth is that we are a free society where anyone is welcome to an opinion. But Polman highlights the great divide of opinion in this great nation of ours:

“The polls basically show an even split between those Americans who want tighter laws on gun sales and those who don’t; and an even split between those who want to ban assault weapons, and those who don’t. In other words, half the nation is at least receptive to hearing renewed debate on the merits and demerits of gun control…”

It is interesting that he doesn’t mention that half the nation is just as receptive to hearing renewed debate on the merits of why gun control doesn’t work. But what do we expect from another political reporter who is nothing more than a cheerleader for the left?
