“Second Amendment is Outdated” Really?

An editorial in the Sun Sentinel argues that the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States is outdated. Why? Well, because…
“Our present Supreme Court justices seem to be denying the fact that it was created at a time when our country did not have the protective agencies we have today.”
When the constitution was written there was also no telephone, no radio, no TV, no satellites, no cable TV, no 24-hour news networks and most importantly no Internet. So Sun Sentinel editors, do you believe the First Amendment is outdated as well? It was created at a time when the country did not have these advanced technologies for sharing of information?
