NPR: One Side Shot Against Guns and Really Dated Photo!

What do you expect from NPR. This “news organization” doesn’t even try to be unbiased. Note the introduction in the story from partner site The Nation: “Gun (In)Sanity:”

“Despite a Democratic Congress and President, it’s been a bad time for common sense measures to curb gun violence.”

The story also uses a somewhat dated photo from the year 2000 of the now (sadly) defunct Great Western Gun Show. Besides the clearly anti-gun bias of the story, any legit “news organization” would come up with a more recent photo. Unless of course the writer/editor was trying to find a photo that dated from another time when there was a Democratic in the White House.”

For the record, the caption for the photo:

“A gun retailer tends to his booth while surrounded by shotguns and rifles at the Western Americana Gun Show at the Pomona, Calif., Fairplex, Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. AP”

Yes, trying to discuss the state of “gun show loopholes” while showing a photo from 2000 is akin to saying music is really bad today, with an image of New Kids on the Block as an example!
