New York Mayor Believes Everyone Should be Treated the Same

The New York Daily News reported that New York City Mayor Bloomberg has offered no sympathy for “prison-bound Plaxico Burress,” the former New York Giants football player who broke city gun laws. The paper quoted the mayor as saying:
“Everybody should be treated exactly the same, and I’m a big believer in our gun laws in this state.”
While we agree that Burress deserves no sympathy either, we also think that all gun owners in New York City are treated the same by the likes of this mayor… AS CRIMINALS. Mr. Bloomberg continually calls for tougher gun laws, and idiots like Burress help prove his point about the danger of firearms in the wrong hands. But in the end it is the law abiding gun owners that unfortunately suffer.
Right on. When does it end. When the prisons are filled with all law abiding citizens and the criminals with the illegal weapons are running around shooting and stealing from everyone because they can. Something has to give. Enough is Enough is Enough.
