Nearly $1.2 Million Worth of Canadian Guns Heading to Saudi Arabia

Will the mainstream media in the United States pick up on the fact that $1.2 million worth of Canadian firearms and other weapons were exported to Saudi Arabia last year? In fact, that is just the tip of the iceberg when it came to international exports from the Canadian province of Manitoba, reports The Ottawa Citizen:

“According to international-trade data available on the Industry Canada website, Manitoba exported a total of $3.1 million in ‘arms and ammunition’ to foreign countries last year. That could include anything from flame-throwers to shotgun cartridges to rocket-launchers, and it’s double what the province exported in 2004.”

A few firearms go to Jamaica and the American media jumps on it. But this rather “big business” from our so-called peaceful friends to the north, and it isn’t a blip on our radar.
