More Gun Crime in London – Yet the Mainstream Media Continues to Report About Fewer U.K. Guns

How is that gun crime is on the rise in the U.K., notably in London? This seems to run contrary to the opinion that the U.K. has tough gun laws, so there is less crime. But once again a story is coming that gun crime is on the rise, this time from the BBC.

Disturbing as the rise in crime is, what is more shocking is that the numbers being reported are also far greater than those typically cited by the American mainstream media, which claims there are only a few hundred shootings year round for all of the U.K. But the BBC paints another picture:

“There were 1,736 gun crimes in London between April and September, Metropolitan Police said – 252 more than in the same period last year.”

None of this is of course good news, but given that the U.K. still has very strict gun laws, the question is why this happening, or rather how is it happening? Could it be that gun crime and restrictions on firearm ownership actually have very little to do with one another? Of course we wouldn’t expect the MSM to report such things.
