Landlords Can Ban Guns From Renters in Tennessee

Be careful if you are a renter in Nashville. The attorney general has offered his opinion that landlords “can ban tenants from bringing firearms into their property even if they have a handgun carry permit” reports the Associated Press.

Of course it is worth noting that, as AP cites, is only a legal opinion issued by the attorney general and is only the office’s interpretation of the law, and not a binding. Thus we could see a major showdown looming in the courts. This will be something we’ll be watching very closely.
