Kenya Cracks Down on Illegal Guns

Too often the mainstream media paints a picture of America as being a land overrun with illegal firearms, where gun shows must be illicit arms fairs out of a movie such as Lord of War. But there are parts of the world where there is a real problem with guns. Countries like Kenya have a problem with illegal firearms, where not only AK-47 but also rocket launchers and heavy machine guns find their way into the nation. As the BBC stresses, this isn’t too hard:
“Kenya shares long borders with war-torn Somalia and Sudan, where guns are easily available.”
Maybe if the mainstream media in the United States understood that parts of war torn Africa are really where guns are a problem, this constant assault on legal – let me stress that again – legal guns in America wouldn’t constantly come under fire.
