Justice in Gun Ruling a Gun Dealer? And…

Of course the mainstream media is going to jump on this one. UPI is reporting that a North Carolina Supreme Court justice who wrote an opinion that would allow some convicted felons is actually a licensed gun dealer! UPI reports that the Raleigh News & Observer reported that Edward Thomas Brady, elected to the high court in 2002, holds a federal license – likely a federal firearms license – and has made some $5,000 in sales each year.

What neither the paper nor UPI notes is that many collectors have federal firearms licenses, and what is worse it is the MSM that keeps ranting and raving about “gun show loopholes.” Mr. Brady happens to be one of those individuals that has a license to buy and sell guns, and thus couldn’t be considered part of the problem. While some may think he may have had a conflict of interest, he wasn’t actually trying to sell any guns to those convicted felons – rather writing that after they do their time, pay for their crimes that their rights to own guns should be restored.

We don’t see a conflict of interest. But we fully expect the MSM to see it another way.
