Guns Seized in Philippines Have Familiar Serial Numbers

Imagine that any army – or at least elements of the army – might sell guns to criminals. That’s the only way to explain this point that was reported by Inquirer.com:

“BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Many of the guns that were seized from the Ampatuan clan bore the same serial numbers as those in firearms carried by government soldiers, indicating these were either duplicated or tampered with, Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Victor Ibrado said.”

Could this possibly explain how the Mexican cartels also have military grade equipment? Of course we’ll wait for the mainstream press in America to pick up on this one!
