Firing Back: Grenade Goof Indeed

Our friends at Newsbuster.org busted CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who had shown footage of so-called confiscated firearms from Mexico. Among the weapons are those that, as Newsbusters points out, not the kind of weapons one buys at the local gun store.

Military hardware, such as M16A1s and NATO-issued M60s aren’t generally available on any aisle in Sam’s Club, or even at the most high-end of firearms stores. Available at an arms fair in a James Bond movie or other spy thriller yes, but blaming the upsurge in violence in the Mexican drug war on these firearms is just more mainstream media hysteria.

At this point the MSM should blame Ronald Reagan for continuing the Cold War, as it encouraged the Soviet Union to give away AK-47s all over Africa. If those guns were so obviously Soviet in origin you know the MSM would be blaming American firearms owners for the civil wars in Africa too.
