Does False Security Lead to Suicide?

How exactly does a gun, which “can provide a false sense of security” lead to suicide? That’s the question we have for New York Newsday. In an Editorial titled “Guns can provide a false sense of security,” the example is given that guns can be used to kill one’s self.

While that is probably true – not to mention that many pharmaceuticals today can be used for the same thing – what does any of this have to do with a false sense of security? This is an editorial that rants about one thing, but uses a sensational headline.
