48 Hours Mystery Offers Story of McNair Murder Weapon, But Details are Missing

Are there missing minutes in the 48 Hours recap of the story of how 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi managed to obtain the gun that she used to kill professional football player Steve McNair? The article online merely states that convicted felon Adrian Gilliam bought the gun at some point:

“Even though he was a convicted felon, he bought the 9mm Bryco/Jennings pistol for his wife’s protection.”

Note that this doesn’t say whether the firearm was legally or illegally purchased, just that he had obtained it. Again, here is a case where existing gun laws could be enforced instead of creating new ones. But the mainstream media again goes to point that convicted felons can get guns. That is no surprise of course.
